I am so excited to share this week’s photos! When I first started Sunday Snaps, I had two main goals:
- Share current photos that show what’s happening around the farm, and
- Get better at using my camera.
Obviously the first goal is pretty easy to accomplish. Any time I share photos, you get a small glimpse into what is going on around the farm. Sometimes you see a little bit of what it takes to raise our livestock and grow our crops, and other times you simply see what new animal I sweet talked William into getting. (He’s not too hard to convince!)
But the second goal has been tripping me up, and quite frankly, really discouraging me. I was so excited when I bought my camera, thinking it was all I needed to take better photos. The truth is that a fancy camera doesn’t make you a better photographer. It takes a lot of practice and a lot of knowledge. After a year of only using the auto settings, I decided I was determined to learn how to manually set my camera to get the photos I wanted. And I’m proud to say I’m actually doing it.
Now let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. I am no pro at this by any means. But I can already tell I’m growing immensely. I can’t wait to look back some day and see the progression and growth from my very first Sunday Snaps.
So, without further adieu, I wanted to share some of my favorites from the last week. Most of the photos are just glamour shots of the animals, but I’m OK with that. And I must say, I have some pretty gorgeous models. Check them out below!
This has been an incredible week of growth for my photography skills. I still have so much to learn, but I can already see tremendous improvement. Now if only it would warm up so I can keep up with these walks around the farm! My little frozen fingers can’t take much more!
That’s it for today’s Sunday Snaps! Which photo is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
